IPTV EPG not working? Why your TV guide is blank and how to fix it

A blank IPTV EPG is almost always one of four things. Here is how to get the TV guide filling in again — in the IPTV player, the IPTV app or on a Smart TV.

Blank TV guide? Fix a missing EPG in 4 steps — STREAMBOXES guide

An IPTV EPG that will not load makes a good service feel broken. The channels play, but every programme says "no information", so you cannot see what is on. Fixing it is usually a two-minute job once you know which of the four causes you are dealing with.

A blank EPG is frustrating, but it is almost always a refresh problem, not a broken service. Try these in order.

1. Refresh the guide

In the IPTV player or the IPTV app, open the playlist settings and choose Update EPG (or Refresh TV guide). Wait a minute, then check again.

2. Check the EPG source

Make sure the playlist has an EPG source enabled. Some players show it as a separate URL — if it is missing or mistyped, the guide stays empty.

3. Fix the clock

The guide matches programmes by time. If your device's clock or time zone is wrong, the guide can appear empty or show the wrong programmes. Set the time to automatic.

4. Reload the playlist

Remove the playlist and add it again from the same login. This forces the player to download a fresh channel and guide list together.

Still empty?

Some channels simply do not broadcast guide data. If only a few channels are blank, that is normal. If everything is blank after these steps, message us with a screenshot and we will check your line.

Most blank guides are fixed by step 1 — always refresh before you change anything else.
